Advanced Hair Removal
Unwelcome hair growth is a source of embarrassment for both men and women. For women, it’s usually the presence of facial hair between the brows or on the upper lip, but it also often includes other areas of the body, like the underarms, legs or bikini line. For men, it might be excess ear, shoulder or back hair, or hair that’s too thick on their arms or chest. Whatever the case, unwanted body hair is a big problem for a lot of people.
No more stress with unwanted hair! The Nordlys system permanently reduces unwanted hair by delivering short, bursts of light directed at the target site. Potentially harmful wavelengths and wavelengths that only heat up the water in the skin are removed using patented Dual Mode Filtering.
The emitted light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in your hair. Melanin converts the light into heat, which travels down the hair, toward the root, and heats the hair matrix, preventing future hair growth.
Are you suffering from acne? Well, you are not alone. Acne affects 50 million Americans a year – making it the most common skin condition in the United States.
Acne occurs when your sebaceous glands overproduce an oily substance called sebum. When extra sebum gets trapped in your hair follicles, your skin can become irritated — leading to the appearance of pimples on your face. Left untreated, some types of acne can cause permanent scarring.
The Nordlys system treats acne by reducing the blood supply to the sebaceous gland to slow down the production of sebum. The system delivers short, bursts of Ellipse IPL™ directed at the skin. Using patented Dual Mode Filtering technology, the system filters the light to ensure that only the wavelengths necessary for the treatment are used.
Because of this, only the blood vessels that supply the sebaceous gland are impacted, while the surrounding vessels are not affected.
The best results are achieved on inflammatory acne – red, aching, raised pimples. It is important that your skin not have a recent suntan.
FRAX 1550 Skin Resurfacing
Looking for an effective treatment to help reclaim your skin’s youthful look, texture, and tone? Well, you are not alone. Skin resurfacing is among the most requested aesthetic procedures in the United States.
The Nordlys Frax 1550 is one of the most effective fractional non-ablative laser devices out on the market today to enhance the skin. This device is used alone or in combination with our Nordlys IPL (intense pulsed light) handpiece which provides even more dramatic improvements in the skin. Check out the LIGHT & BRIGHT treatment.
Patients with the following skin concerns may be treated with the Nordlys Frax 1550:
Skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles
Pink or purple striae (stretch marks)
Acne scars, ice-pick scars, rolling scars, boxcar scars, atrophic or hypertrophic scars
Surgical or trauma scars
The Frax 1550 laser rejuvenates the skin by delivering very small, controlled bursts of heat energy to the treatment area. This unique technology allows the pulse time and energy to be set independently to deliver controlled heat at the appropriate width and depth to meet individual needs. The heat stimulates the production of collagen, which will resurface the skin over time.
Because the laser is rolled across the skin, the treatment takes a short time, the surface of the skin is left intact and healing and recovery are quick.
